The OSHA 10-Hour Construction outreach training program trains construction workers on important topics of occupational safety and health hazards. Taught by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) authorized trainers, this 10-hour training program provides instruction on OSHA standards and requirements as they apply to the construction industry and teaches safety awareness, which assists workers in recognizing and reducing the risks of the construction site and industrial hazards on the job site. This safety training outreach course is required by many Federal and State jurisdictions in order to work on construction and industrial sites. Participants will receive a course completion card after finishing the program.

This course is intended to provide an entry-level construction worker with a general awareness of recognizing and preventing hazards on a construction site. The training covers a variety of construction safety and health hazards that a worker may encounter on the job. OSHA recommends this training as an orientation to occupational health and safety. Workers must receive additional training on hazards specific to their work. Training should emphasize hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention.

The OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Health & Safety course teaches OSHA regulations and standards as they apply to the construction industry. The course covers practices of identifying, reducing, eliminating and reporting on-site hazards. It also teaches safety awareness and assists supervisors in recognizing and reducing risks in the workplace. This program will assist employers in training supervisors for competent person status. The training covers a variety of construction safety and health hazards which a worker may encounter at a construction site. This safety training outreach course is required by many Federal and State jurisdictions in order to work on construction and industrial sites. Participants will receive an OSHA course completion card after finishing the program.

The Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HazWoper) - 40 Hour training is a 5-day advanced level course with site-specific requirements and information pertaining to hazardous waste sites and operations in accordance with the requirements for health and safety training in the OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.120. 

 

The Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HazWoper) - 40 Hour training is a 5-day advanced level course with site-specific requirements and information pertaining to hazardous waste sites and operations in accordance with the requirements for health and safety training in the OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.120. 

 

The HazWoper Standard covers five (5) specific areas of operations, including:

  • Clean-up operations required by a governmental body, involving hazardous substances at an uncontrolled/abandoned hazardous waste site

  • Corrective actions involving cleanup operations at controlled sites covered by the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) 

  • Voluntary cleanup operations at sites recognized by the government as uncontrolled hazardous waste sites

  • Operations involving hazardous waste that are conducted at treatment, storage, disposal facilities regulated by RCRA (EPA)

  • Emergency response operations for releases, or substantial threats of releases, of hazardous substances without regard to the location

HazWoper Refresher- 8 Hour Course

Do not let your HazWoper certification expire! This HazWoper refresher course is a required 8-hour annual re-certification for persons engaged in hazardous waste operations and emergency response. This course covers site-specific requirements and information pertaining to hazardous waste sites and operations in accordance with the requirements for health and safety training in OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.120.

 

Intended Audience:  This course is required for anyone engaged in hazardous substance removal or other activities which may expose them to hazardous substances and health hazards on a regulated hazardous waste site. The course includes a combination of lectures, class exercises, and hands-on training.
